Gurudongmar Lake, located at an altitude of 5425 m in North Sikkim, is one of the world’s highest and most sacred lakes. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava visited the lake, and touched a small section to keep it from freezing, ensuring a year-round water supply for the locals. Also known by the name of ‘Valley of Flowers’, Yumthang Valley is paradise for nature lovers. In the summer season, the valley is adorned with Rhodonderons. Also, Yumthang Valley has a few hot springs which are said to have healing properties. As the name suggests, the Seven Sisters Waterfalls comprises seven different waterfalls. This stunning waterfall is especially captivating during the monsoon season, when the water flows at its fullest. Surrounded by lush greenery, it is an ideal spot for photography in Sikkim.
