NJP/IXB to SILLERY GAON (A 91.7 KM Drive for 3 HOURS)

Your Silk Route tour commences with a meet and greet at NJP/IXB airport or railway station by our spokesperson. From there you'll be required to travel to Sillery Gaon, a charming village perched at 6,000 feet, famed for offering breathtaking vistas of Kanchenjunga and the Teesta River winding through a lush green valley. Being surrounded by dense forests of pine, cinchona, and other hill trees, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Natural beauty being the region’s greatest asset, you'll be facilitated by an overnight stay at a local home stay facility in Sillery Gaon.

SILLERY GAON to ARITAR (A 38.6 KM Drive for 1 HR 45 MINUTES)

After concluding the breakfast, embark on a journey to Aritar/Mankhim, located above Lampokhri Lake, renowned as Sikkim's highest with boating facilities, which you can enjoy after lunch. Along the way, you'll visit Mankhim Temple, Mankhim View Point, Aritar Monastery, and the historic AritarDakbunglow. Ending the day with an overnight stay, at a homestay in Aritar/Mankhim.

ARITAR to ZULUK (A 41.1 KM Drive for 2 Hours)

This significant day marks the highlight of your Silk Route tour. After relishing breakfast, you'll set out on a journey to Zuluk, passing through several picturesque sites. The route includes Rongli Dam, Lingtam, and the Keukhela Falls.

Rongli (5,200 ft): This small town positioned on the Rongli River, is where you'll obtain your Inner Line Permit for Nathula.

Rongli Dam: A 41-meter high concrete dam on the Rongli River, capable of holding 45,200 cubic meters of water.

Lingtam (5,082 ft): Nestled just past the Rongli permit zone, this tranquil village is celebrated for its sunny weather and surrounding hills. You can also visit Lingtam Monastery here.

Keukhela Falls (Kali Khola Falls): Situated between Lingtam and Padamchen on the old Silk Route, this 100-meter waterfall is tucked between the surreal scenery.

You'll arrive in Zuluk before lunch.

Zuluk (7,000 ft): This small village in East Sikkim, part of the old Silk Route, sits at a soaring elevation of 10,000 feet. Due to its unspoiled natural beauty and stunning Himalayan views, it is becoming increasingly popular with tourists. Witnessing snow-mantled mountains or the sunrise vistas from your accommodation. Overnight stay at a homestay in Zuluk.

ZULUK to NATHANG (A 53KM Drive for 2:30 HOURS)

Rise early to catch the panoramic sunrise from Lungthung Viewpoint. Following breakfast, your journey continues to Nathang Valley via the very famed Zig Zag Road, frequently referred to as Bhulbhuliya. Along the way, you'll stop at several viewpoints and landmarks:

Zig Zag Road: This unique, winding road is considered one of the most remarkable roads in Sikkim, offering stunning views of Zuluk from each turn.

Thambi Viewpoint (11,200 ft): Located a bit outside of Zuluk (14 km), this viewpoint provides panoramic vistas of Kanchenjunga and other snow-capped peaks.

Lungthung (11,500 ft): This small village offers another vantage point for admiring Kanchenjunga.

Tukla Valley (12,500 ft): Here, you'll find a war memorial dedicated to British soldiers who fought in the Battle of Tukla.

Jelep La Pass View (13,999 ft): While the pass itself (connecting India and Tibet) is no longer accessible to civilians, you can still enjoy views of it from a point in its proximity. This pass was historically significant for Silk Route traders.

Old Baba Mandir (13,123 ft): This shrine is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier who is revered by the Indian Army.

You'll arrive in Nathang Valley before lunch.

Nathang Valley (13,200 ft): Often called the "Ladakh of East India," this stunning valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and offers breathtaking landscapes. The spectacle looks something like, Streams meandering through the valley, and prayer flags fluttering in the wind and Nathang Valley's appearance changing with the seasons, from golden in autumn to flower-filled in the rainy season and snow-covered in winter. NATHANG to RONGPOKHOLA (A 118 KM Drive for 3 HOURS 30 MINUTES APPROXIMATELY)

After savouring the morning meal, embark on for Rongpokhola Tour from Nathang. Enjoy lunch and music by the Riverside Rangpo. You can also indulge yourself in the leisure amusements such as bathing and fishing in the crystal clear Rangpo River, that may mark the conclusion of your amusements of your trip.
